Group Crossfit Classes

The foundation of CrossFit Brownsville, our group CrossFit classes are our bread and butter. Since 2013, our coaching staff has relentlessly worked to develop our understanding and further our knowledge of CrossFit. At CrossFit Brownsville, we believe in form over intensity, each CFB member will be taught the proper mechanics of each movement to be performed. Weightlifting and gymnastics movements are broken down into repeatable drills and/or progressions. Our coaches will explain and demonstrate each movement, and then ask members to perform them and evaluate form/technique. Members will ONLY be allowed to progress with proper form.

We follow the CrossFit prescription for Fitness (Increased work capacity over broad time) of Consantly Varied, Functional Movements, performed at high intensity. This means we will perform a different workout every day, in fact, you probably will never perform that exact workout again. Having said that, CrossFit does provide a large set of “benchmark” workouts that will on occasion be repeated. This lets us prove we are becoming “fitter over time” as we watch our time to complete a benchmark workout decrease. You will most likely develop a love/hate with these workouts.

The overall concept of our training (becoming fitter over time) will also bring change to many measurable indicators related to health.

For this reason, we will establish baseline numbers for each and every member including blood pressure, BMI, body fat percentage, and weight. Consistent attendance to our group CrossFit group classes paired with attention to nutrition WILL result in you losing fat, while building lean muscle.

Your clothes will begin to fit looser, the number on the scale will begin to decrease, and will continue for as long as you’d like it to.
